Chalky meadow florals.
A delightful wedding stationery set to illustrate. Full of pale pinks and blues and spring flower choices. Here's a look at some 'before the day' and 'on the day' designs for Maddie and Bens wedding...
Before the Day
Unique and bespoke save the dates and invitations. A lovely little set for Maddie and Ben to send to their guests. A blue and pink floral theme with quirky hand lettering carried through all the designs. I particularly enjoyed creating the little couple illustration for the front of the invites, I thought this was a lovely personal touch. Drawn from one of the photos from their engagement shoot. The layout was a simple double sided A6 (postcard size) design - easy to fit all the important information on and a great size for guests to put up on the fridge
Signage
Some bespoke signage for their wedding venue. Firstly a floral seating plan to match the invitation designs. This large foam boards are great for illustrating and displaying bespoke signage. They are super easy to print any design on to and a great size for guests to easily read the information. Secondly a gorgeous idea for a welcome sign. Making use of a fallen tree in their garden this circular slice of wood was a great canvas. Burnt lettering and painted flowers made for this unique welcome sign! I hope to do some more wedding pieces like this in the future.
Table Decor
Table numbers with a difference. Tying in nicely with the wooden welcome sign, these slanted standing table names looked stunning as part of Maddie and Bens table centre pieces. The natural look of the wood worked so well with their gorgeous meadow flower jars and large wooden discs. I think the slanted cut on the wood is brilliant as it allows that lovely bark to be exposed. The burnt numbers add to the rustic feel and the painted foliage and floral design match the pinks, blues and greens of the real wedding flowers. A fallen tree put to good use!
For the name places, popular as always - grey stone with white lettering. Fitting in with the natural theme of the table decor. Each guest had a wedding favour jar with a personalised sticker label tied round. The design for these included the couples names with matching flowers and their wedding date...a cute finishing touch to add to the table decor.
Guest Book
Finally a bespoke guest book. I love designing these covers! For Maddie and Ben the lettering 'Mr & Mrs Ellis' along with the date, surrounded by pale pink and blue flowers. This design looked great on a Kraft (brown) paper book, to keep in tie with the rustic feel of their wedding stationery. However I can personalised any type of book cover and even add bespoke illustrations or lettering on the inside pages too. They make a great memento to keep after your big day with all the lovely messages from your friends and family.
It was so special designing some stationery items for Maddie and Ben. Beautiful ideas from the couple turned in to some elegant natural designs. If you'd like to see more of ICillustrations creations, check out the wedding section on my website...
